This class is an excellent introduction to broom making. You will learn broom making history, broom makers lingo, types of materials and equipment used, and will craft 3 basic brooms: The Cake Tester, Cast Iron Pot Scrubber/Veggie Brush, and a Whisk Broom. Great 1st step into broom making.

About the event
This In-Person class includes all materials. You may bring drinks along if desired. We are located in the Icebox of PA, so if the class is cancelled due to weather, yes we can still get snow, you will receive a full refund. Prepayment is required and holds your seat/supplies. If you choose to cancel within 3 days of the class time, a 50% refund is given.
Dress comfortably, lap should be covered to prevent skin irritation (applies to summer time and short shorts-broomcorn can be itchy on legs). Please where soft soled shoes that do not fall off your feet. Avoid flip flops or slides. Sneakers work best. You are welcome to bring drinks/snacks.
Due to the hand/foot coordination and arm strength required, we do not recommend this activity for ages younger than 14 yrs old.
